We understand renting for the first time can be daunting, so we have put together a guide from our experiences.

SOME THINGS TO CONSIDER BEFORE YOU START SEARCHING FOR RENTALS:
BUDGET- Consider you will be paying rent, for food, transport, and going out. Especially if you are using a student loan, know when it comes in, and how much you can allocate for rent.
LOCATION - Do you want to be near campus, social spots, the gym, or anything else? Also figure out the public transport from that area, is it good enough to allow you to travel for all your different commitments?
HOUSEMATES - Try to choose wisely. Your closest friends might not always be the best people to live with if you know you share different views on cleanliness, guests, and noise. However, even if there is some tension in your house, this will not be the end of the world - but it's of course best to avoid it where possible.
DEAL BREAKERS - What things do you know you want in a property? Provided wifi? A certain layout? Make sure you know what you don't want in a rental.
BILLS - Do you want bills included, or to arrange to pay for water and electricity separately? This is something we will discuss more later.
